Third Round of Time-Use Surveys in Alabujanahalli

A team from FAS recently concluded the third round of survey of the Alabujanahalli village in Maddur taluk, Mandya district, under the project “Women’s Work in Agriculture and Rural Production in India.” The week-long survey began on May 17, 2018.

This survey was the last of the series of time-use surveys conducted under the project since May, 2017. These surveys used the tool of labour diaries and interview selected women several times a day for one week continuously. The purpose of these surveys is to document the myriad activities that women perform in the study villages against the time used for the respective activities.

The survey team consisted of: Arindam Das, Abhinav Kapoor, Charusmitha Nandakumar, Divya Devadiga, R. Vijayamba, Revathi Srinivasan, Roohi Nayaz, S. Niyati, Shruthi Nagabhushan, and Vijay Kumar.
