Visit by Dr. Mihika Chatterjee

On April 30, 2026, Dr. Mihika Chatterjee, Lecturer in International Development, Department of Social & Policy Sciences, and Co-director, Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Bath University, visited the Foundation for Agrarian Studies office. The meeting was attended by Dr. Madhura Swaminathan, Trustee of the Foundation; Dr. Sandipan Baksi, Director; Dr. Arindam Das, Joint Director; and Dr. Tapas Modak, Joint Director.
The visit began with an introduction to FAS’s ongoing research projects and areas of interest, followed by discussions on FAS’s work on the evolution of digital agriculture policy in India and the identification of potential research gaps. The discussions also covered FAS’s work on the use of drones in agriculture and explored possibilities for extending this line of research to other digital tools and regions. The meeting concluded with conversations on developing future collaborations. Young researchers at FAS also used this opportunity to discuss their research proposals with Dr. Mihika during this visit.
The discussions were highly fruitful, and we look forward to deepening this partnership.
