Understanding Agrarian Relations in India

This is an ongoing project.

In September 2014, the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS) and the Foundation for Agrarian Studies entered into a partnership project titled “Understanding Agrarian Relations in India.” Under this project, RLS supports various activities of the Foundation, such as theme-based research and seminars and workshops to discuss and disseminate the findings from FAS research.

The research from this project has contributed to articles published the Review of Agrarian Studies under various themes. The themes include “Interviews with Leaders of Peasant Movements in India”, “Land and Forest Rights: Some Indian Case Studies,” “Discrepancies,” “Agricultural Modernisation and Indian-Language Journals in Pre-Independence India,” and “Crop Incomes in India.”
